The cost of what it would take to sack Erik ten Hag has been revealed as the pressure ramps up on the Manchester United manager.
Erik ten Hag has experienced a terrible start to the season with seven defeats from 14 games in all competitions.
Manchester United are languishing in eighth place in the Premier League and have won just one of the three Champions League games this season.
There have been some murmurs of discontent from the Old Trafford fanbase, not least when Rasmus Hojlund, who has offered promise, was substituted with plenty of time left on the clock in the Manchester derby.

Ten Hag exit cost
The tide might not be turning on the 53-year-old just yet but if the poor results and, at times, terrible performances continue then the club may well have no choice, as we saw eventually with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
According to a report from The Mirror, the club would need to fork out £15 million for the Dutchman were they to sack him.
However, this seems far from reality at this point in time and the board are firmly behind the Dutchman according to The Telegraph, but results do have to change, and the manager is optimistic the club’s fortunes will turn positively.
Whether the fans like it or not, it does seem unlikely that the club would be able to fork out such an amount to dismiss Ten Hag.
United’s lack of money
Manchester United struggled to complete a deal for Sofyan Amrabat and had to dabble in the loan market to sign Sergio Reguilon, an indicator money is tight.
Whether the owners, whoever that may be if the decision needs to be made, would sack yet another manager remains to be seen but it would be a risk, as in addition to the cost involved, there would be little budget available for a new manager to strengthen.
Ten Hag has had some difficult circumstances to work through. Whether it’s the Mason Greenwood debacle, the Jadon Sancho fallout, or the raft of injuries the club has had to endure, issues have arisen throughout the season.
He needs time and maybe the club should, for once, back the boss over the players who have continued to let manager after manager down.
