Manchester United loanee Marcus Rashford made his second appearance for Barcelona in a pre-season friendly against FC Seoul.

The only major exit from Manchester United this summer has been Marcus Rashford’s loan to Barcelona, which includes a £26m buy option for next summer.

Last week, Rashford impressed on his Barcelona debut as the Spanish side recorded a 3-1 win over Vissel Kobe.

Their pre-season tour of Asia continued with a clash against Jesse Lingard’s FC Seoul, and Rashford once again featured off the bench.

Marcus Rashford’s performance for Barcelona in 7-3 win over FC Seoul

Barcelona put on an emphatic display in a 10-goal thriller against FC Seoul, with Lamine Yamal and Ferran Torres both scoring braces.

Rashford impressed United fans after coming off the bench at half-time to replace Raphinha.

The United loanee is off the mark in terms of goal involvements after setting up Torres for Barcelona’s seventh goal of the game in the final few minutes.

Not only did Rashford record his first assist, but the stats from his second appearance suggest he is settling in pretty well at his new club.

Rashford boasted a pass success rate of 88%, and was an attacking threat throughout his 45-minute display with two shots on target, three take-ons and five touches in the opposition’s box.

Marcus Rashford is fighting for a starting spot at Barcelona

So far, Rashford has been limited to substitute appearances for Barcelona, but his long-term aim will be to work his way into Hansi Flick’s starting lineup.

However, with Yamal, Robert Lewandowski, Torres and Raphinha all competing for spots up front, he has his work cut out for him.

Spanish press have been impressed by Rashford during his first few weeks at Barcelona, but if he plans on staying in Catalan beyond the 2025/26 season then it is Flick and his staff he will have to impress.

There is just over two weeks to go until Barcelona kick off their La Liga campaign against Mallorca, meaning Rashford is running out of time to impress in pre-season.

Barcelona face Daegu on Monday and Como for the annual Joan Gamper Trophy on August 10. Rashford will hope for more crucial minutes in both of those matches.
