Erik ten Hag has been under increasing pressure at Old Trafford but a surprising fact has emerged following Manchester United’s win against Everton.
Manchester United picked up a vital win at Goodison Park against Sean Dyche’s Everton and it was a comfortable 3-0 victory in the end, despite the growing pressure from the Toffees in the first half.
Alejandro Garnacho’s overhead kick, understandably, stole the show in Merseyside but the second half was certainly impressive, so much so that even Roy Keane believed the swagger was back for the Red Devils.
Anthony Martial’s goal, in particular, was a confident, flowing move that ended with a brilliantly impudent finish from the Frenchman to wrap the game up.

United’s record
The Red Devils have had a tough start to the season but things look to be on the up and a surprising fact has emerged following the victory at Goodison Park.
United are sat sixth in the Premier League table with 24 points from a possible 39 available. Compare that to last season and the Red Devils have actually shown a slight improvement.
During Ten Hag’s first season at Old Trafford, at this same stage, United had 23 points after 13 games and ended up finishing third in the Premier League.
It was around this time of the season last year when Ten Hag’s side began to string together an impressive run of form that led to some fans believing that a title challenge could be on.
It does, however, seem unlikely that this will happen again.
United’s tough Christmas games
Before the end of the calendar year, the Red Devils still have to face Chelsea, Aston Villa, Liverpool, and Newcastle United in what will be a real test of the club’s metal.
Wins in all of these games would end, once and for all, the criticism surrounding the Dutchman but the flip side will be if the Red Devils lose these games, the Dutchman may be in trouble.
After five wins in six Premier League games, the pressure has been eased somewhat on Ten Hag but United need to put a run of form together to continue their upward trajectory in the league.
Two tough away fixtures in Turkey and Tyneside await for the Red Devils this week.
