Hibernian are preparing to explore the possibility of signing Will Fish on a permanent basis from Manchester United.
Football Scotland report Fish’s current loan side hold ‘serious interest’ in a deal for the talented centre-back.
Fish has impressed in recent weeks, establishing himself as a starter for the Scottish Premiership side, also scoring two goals.
He is currently under contract with Manchester United to 2025, with an extra option to 2026.

United might consider a sale
Will Fish, 20, might well be tempted to continue at Hibernian, and Manchester United could be willing to cash in.
There is a queue of first team centre-backs in his path at Old Trafford and even if Harry Maguire is sold, one would likely be brought in to replace him.
Fish is looking at being fifth choice at best, probably lower considering Luke Shaw can also play the position.
While there is always a consideration of how high his potential might be if he stays, United were comfortable to sell off Dylan Levitt, James Garner, and Tahith Chong last summer for small fees, and have not regretted it.
United will need to sell players this summer to help raise funds for new arrivals, and while Fish won’t generate a particularly high fee, it all helps.
There are young talented centre-backs in United’s ranks already, the likes of Louis Jackson, Willy Kambwala, Tyler Fredricson and Rhys Bennett, making Fish replaceable.
The likes of Teden Mengi, Dishon Bernard and Axel Tuanzebe could also be sold, while Phil Jones will be released.
