Manchester United’s new striker Rasmus Hojlund was at his best against Galatasaray as he scored a brace, and could have had more.
Rasmus Hojlund tripled his goal record on Tuesday as he scored both goals for Manchester United in a 3-2 defeat.
His first goal saw him finish a Marcus Rashford cross incredibly clinically, a true number nines goal.
While his second involved him capitalising on a lose ball to race through on goal, lifting it over the goalkeeper as he peeled away to celebrate.
One goal was even disallowed but showcased him incredible composure as he dropped a shoulder to send the Galatasaray defender flying and smashed it by the keeper.
Erik ten Hag has clearly been impressed by his display as he spoke to club media about the 20-year-old.

Speaking with MUTV, Ten Hag was asked about the displays of his Danish forward.
“With his progress, we are very happy, very pleased. As you said, I think it’s a big potential in him and I think he proves his potential and there will come more, given time.
“We need training, you need the games. We need especially also more routines in the team, and then he will take even more benefit from it.
“But also I think other players around him can take benefit from his actions. So he is a threat, he is scoring, but I know also other players in our team can also score.”
Deadly duo will become key
One thing that we did catch a first glimpse of on Tuesday was the deadly partnership Rashford and Hojlund could create.
On this, Ten Hag was also quoted explaining the importance of these two forming an understanding.
“That has to grow and that takes time. But we know we don’t have time, but I think it was a very good example.
“The first goal we made, where Marcus is crossing in and Rasmus is running and he’s arriving there and a good finish.”
Hopefully against Brentford we can see some more of this duo in action.
