We have written recently how Andreas Pereira’s Manchester United prospects look bleak.

He has not even made United’s bench in recent weeks, despite injuries to teammates and Scott McTominay’s continued omission.

It’s possible that a fortnight working with Jose Mourinho and his staff over the international break has done him some good.

Pereira still faces an uphill battle to get into United’s team against Crystal Palace this weekend, but he is being positive.

He uploaded an image to his Instagram page, with a cryptic message which read ‘We have lift off’.

Let’s hope he is not setting himself up for more disappointment.
