Manchester United have learned more about the extent of the injury suffered by centre-back Harry Maguire.
Harry Maguire was Manchester United’s hero last week against Porto, scoring an injury-time equaliser.
The centre-back was recalled for the Premier League game away at Aston Villa, but had to be substituted at half-time.
Maguire was spotted after the game wearing a protective boot, a worrying sign.

Harry Maguire latest
Harry Maguire faces missing weeks of action, after he confirmed the news via Instagram.
Maguire wrote: “Frustrated to pick up an injury at the weekend, will be a few weeks on the sideline for me but I’ll come back stronger”.

Maguire had to be helped off the pitch at half-time by Manchester United’s medical staff and had to be replaced in the second half.
Manchester United also lost Noussair Mazraoui at half-time due to injury, who has subsequently withdrawn from the Morocco squad.
Maguire was not called up by England this time around, and after Kobbie Mainoo withdrew due to his own injury, there are no Manchester United players representing the Three Lions for the first time since 1976, with Marcus Rashford once again overlooked.
Manchester United down two centre-backs
Manchester United now have two centre-backs out injured, with Harry Maguire joining Leny Yoro on the sidelines. At this stage it is unclear who may be back first.
It’s not quite an injury crisis like last season, however. United still have a number of available options.
Matthijs de Ligt, Lisandro Martinez, Jonny Evans and Victor Lindelof are all available, but Manchester United will not want any of them to suffer problems of their own.
