Hansi Flick has told Barcelona fans what he thinks of Marcus Rashford’s early impact at the Camp Nou after the Manchester United player’s performance against Como.
Real Mallorca will host Spanish champions Mallorca Son Moix for their La Liga opener of the 2025-26 campaign on Saturday, with kick-off slated for 6:30 pm UK time.
Barcelona sent a statement of intent ahead of the Real Mallorca clash with their stunning performance on Sunday against Serie A outfit Como with their 5-0 win.
The reigning La Liga champions lifted the Joan Gamper Trophy at the Estadi Johan Cruyff and Marcus Rashford played a key role in the first half for Barcelona.
Barcelona manager Hansi Flick deployed Rashford as the lone striker in the absence of Robert Lewandowski and the Manchester United player picked up an assist.

Marcus Rashford secured his assist after he set up Raphinha for Barcelona’s third in the first half and the La Liga outfit were 4-0 up going into half-time on Sunday.
The 27-year-old Manchester United loanee’s performance in the Joan Gamper Trophy came to an end after Ferran Torres replaced him at the break.
Barcelona improved their squad options this summer and Rashford has been a key arrival at the Camp Nou alongside the likes of shot-stopper Joan Garcia.
Following Rashford’s Barcelona display against Como at the Estadi Johan Cruyff, Hansi Flick dropped his assessment on the La Liga club’s new summer signings.
“We’re very happy with the new players; they’re on the right track, the team is growing,” Flick said, as per Barca Universal.
The Barcelona manager added: “The way we played, the way we pressed, was very good, but we need to improve our defence and our pressure without the ball.”
Man Utd player Marcus Rashford is a major signing for Barcelona after the Spanish champions missed out on a key target
Barcelona’s pursuit of United forward Rashford turned up a notch after the Spanish side failed to pry Spain winger Nico Williams away from Athletic Club this summer.
The La Liga champions were heavily linked with Nico Williams and it is believed that Barcelona wanted to land the Athletic Club ace before trying to sign Rashford.
However, the 23-year-old Athletic Club and Spain attacking talent snubbed the chance to move to the Camp Nou and instead inked a new contract extension.
Barcelona manager Flick welcomed Rashford’s arrival and the 60-year-old German manager has been open to playing the former Aston Villa star as a striker.
Rashford will offer an alternative to Raphinha out on the left wing, but he could also lead the Barcelona frontline as another option to striker Robert Lewandowski.
