Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham is the runaway favourite to win the award after a superb start in Spain, with Bayern Munich midfielder Jamal Musiala also in the mix.

Rasmus Hojlund’s incredible year

This time last year Rasmus Hojlund was just getting started at Atalanta after a transfer window move from Sturm Graz.

Hojlund went onto impress in Serie A, with more goal contributions than any player 20 or under.

He went on to make his international debut for Denmark, scoring six goals in Euro 2024 qualifiers so far, and attracted the attention of Europe’s biggest clubs.

Manchester United came calling, and Hojlund signed in a deal for an initial £64 million. He is now the first choice striker for his dream club.

Hojlund has scored three goals in two Champions League games, impressing on the big stage, and he is firmly in the mix to make the Golden Boy top 10, or even the top five.

Former Manchester United players to win the award include Anthony Martial, Anderson, Paul Pogba, and Wayne Rooney.
