Paul Scholes believes Real Madrid and England midfielder Jude Bellingham is ‘better than anything we’ve seen’ as the 20-year-old’s amazing season continues.
The former Manchester United midfielder has been waxing lyrical over the former Borussia Dortmund man Jude Bellingham, who has scored 10 goals and provided three assists in just 10 appearances for Los Blancos.
It’s been an incredible start to his career in Spain and there may well be a tinge of sadness from those within the corridors of power at Old Trafford that they couldn’t lure him to the club back in 2020.
Paul Scholes, speaking to TNT Sport, believes the midfielder is truly unique.

Scholes on Bellingham
“I think for his age and what he’s achieved, he’s better than anything we’ve seen,” Scholes admitted.
“Obviously, United had the chance to sign him but he chose a move to Dortmund which looks the right move for him now looking back on it.
“Nothing fazes him, he looks like such a driven, determined lad and such a professional player with the temperament you need to succeed at the top level.
“He stands out, scores goals and he is a winner, he’s affecting games of football and winning them games.”
United’s regret
As mentioned, there will surely be some regrets from the decision-makers at Old Trafford that they couldn’t convince the midfielder to join the Red Devils under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
He was shown around the Carrington training ground with his family in March of 2020, before the COVID-19 pandemic, but chose to sign for Borussia Dortmund, according to the Manchester Evening News.
Despite United’s best efforts, which included the midfielder meeting Sir Alex Ferguson, Germany was his destination of choice.
Whether United would have utilised the obvious talents of the midfielder remains to be seen but the Englishman is setting new records in Madrid and the Red Devils will surely be kicking themselves that they couldn’t get the deal over the line.
