Gary Neville dropped the ultimate praise on one Manchester United legend that he played alongside during his time under Sir Alex Ferguson at Old Trafford.
The 49-year-old former Manchester United star is regarded as one of the best right-backs in Premier League history after his prolific spell at the Red Devils.
Gary Neville rose through the ranks of the United youth academy and the former Red Devils skipper was one of the famed ‘Class of ‘92’ breakout stars at the club.
The Sky Sports pundit established himself under Sir Alex Ferguson in the 1990s and Neville became a mainstay under the legendary former United manager.
During his remarkable career at Old Trafford, Neville lifted eight Premier League titles, two Champions League trophies, three FA Cups and three League Cups.
The ex-United right-back, who made 598 appearances for United, spent his entire playing career at the Red Devils before he bowed of football as a player in 2011.

Neville’s praise for Man Utd legend
Speaking on The Overlap US’ ‘It’s Called Soccer’ show, Gary Neville was asked about his two cents on the future of Manchester City captain Kyle Walker.
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola confirmed that Kyle Walker has hinted at his desire to leave Manchester United’s rivals and could make an exit from the Etihad.
Walker, who has been praised for his impact as a right-back in Premier League history, is under contract with City until 2026 and has been linked with AC Milan.
Presenter Rebecca Lowe asked Neville if the 34-year-old City star is the best right-back in Premier League history and the United legend shut down the idea.
Neville argued that fellow United legend Denis Irwin, who enjoyed a prolific spell under Sir Alex Ferguson, was a better right-back than him.
“He’s not the best-ever Premier League right-back, absolutely not,” he said.
“I would never in a million years because Denis Irwin’s a better right-back than I was and he is. I mean that’s a fact.”
Neville on Man City star Walker
Denis Irwin is considered one of the best left-backs in Premier League history and the Irishman was more than proficient with playing on either flank.
The 59-year-old former United full-back arrived at Old Trafford from Oldham Athletic in 1990 and Irwin excelled from set-pieces like free-kicks and penalties.
Ferguson paid the ultimate tribute to United legend Irwin after once claiming that the Irish former defender would be the only certainty in his all-time United XI.
Rebecca Lowe pushed back on Neville by asking if he thought Walker was the best English right-back in Premier League history, with the Sky Sports pundit agreeing.
“I said yes to that […] I don’t think I would’ve ever been capable of dealing with those players in that way […],” Neville said.
“So, I actually have no problem with anybody having an opinion that Kyle Walker is a better right-back than me and I would never actually volunteer myself.”
