Marcus Rashford returned for Manchester United with a bang, scoring a fantastic solo goal against Burnley.
Rashford’s strike doubled United’s lead after Christian Eriksen had netted in the first half.
United are now into the quarter-finals, with the draw for the last eight to be made on Thursday night.
The goal was Rashford’s ninth goal of the season for United, following on from his three at the World Cup with England.

Neville raves about Rashford
Speaking to Sky Sports’ coverage, Gary Neville had kind words to say about Marcus Rashford’s contribution.
He raved: “Its a brilliant finish it really is. He’s still got a lot to do. The power he puts on the dip in his free-kicks, he’s putting that into it when he plays.”
Speaking about his role on the right wing, Neville added: “He looks more enthusiastic, willing to play there.
“He’s come back and looks like he’s happy. It was a good warm up game to get back into the Premier League.”
The match against Burnley could have been a very tricky night, fortunately United made it look easy, with a confident and comfortable display.
It felt like United had an extra gear if required, but were still a little wasteful in front of goal, with Alejandro Garnacho and Anthony Martial missing first half chances.
Rashford gave the clinical edge which was needed in the second half, and the praise for his display was fully deserved.
The solo goal highlighted how he has grown in confidence, and he is ending 2022 on a high. Next up is a league game against Nottingham Forest on December 27.
