Benjamin Sesko has been red-hot for Manchester United recently; however, he has left Gary Neville and Roy Keane completely divided over his form.
Since Ruben Amorim was sacked, Manchester United’s Slovenian striker has been a different player, scoring at an elite level over the seven-game period.
After just two goals in 17 games under Amorim, Benjamin Sesko has awoken as a striker under Darren Fletcher and Michael Carrick.
Sesko has scored five in six, with only two starts and 241 minutes, which is a very impressive scoring rate. But he’s not yet done enough to convince Roy Keane.
Benjamin Sesko is averaging a goal every 48 minutes over his last six appearances
Should Sesko be starting more games for United?
Gary Neville and Roy Keane disagree over Benjamin Sesko
Sesko has been great for United recently, particularly against clubs that set up in a low block, giving the back-line something to think about and creating more space for his teammates.
The recent goal record speaks for itself, yet Keane isn’t impressed; but he has earned Gary Neville’s respect.

Speaking on the Stick to Football, Keane expressed his bemusement at the praise Sesko has received after the game.
“Nice finish, but sorry, but is that what he’s supposed to do if you know what I mean? coming off the bench, they’re chasing the game, and they score a goal, and everyone’s United expectation. You’re like RyanAir,” Keane said.
“If a flight’s on time, everyone’s laughing and joking. But usually, you’re going to be two hours late, and then every time, everyone thinks that’s the norm.
“Then you land, and they play the music, like we’ve landed on time, it’s Sesko and United, that’s what you’re supposed to do.”
“Roy, I’m going to object to that a bit,” Neville said.
“Sesko, that goal he scored last night wasn’t ordinary, and we all watch a lot of football matches.
“I would see that goal scored one in 25 from that position ahead of the near post. I wouldn’t see that chance taken very often. It’d either be saved or he’d miss past the near post.
“It was an exceptional goal.”
How do you predict Benjamin Sesko’s career at Manchester United will go?
It's early – but let's see your predictions!
Sesko is becoming striker Manchester United haven’t had for years
Both Keane and Neville are right in different ways with their comments on Sesko.
Keane is almost correct in that he is basically saying he expects Sesko to be scoring every week, but recently, his goal record is at that level United fans expect.
It was a slow start for Sesko in terms of goals, but recently he has been scoring at a level which United expect from a striker traditionally.
A goal every 48 minutes, Sesko is making himself clearly a tier above Rasmus Hojlund, and it appears that United have finally got the striker they have been searching for over the past few years.
He has some way to go in terms of becoming a top, top striker, but right now Sesko is getting better and better and showing why he was considered one of the best striker talents in the world.
