Gary Lineker has admitted that Benjamin Sesko is now “starting to look like” a real Manchester United player after the Slovenia striker’s uptick in form at the club.
Benjamin Sesko has been left out of the Manchester United starting XI for the last six Premier League matches under interim head coach Michael Carrick.
Should Benjamin Sesko start for Man Utd vs Crystal Palace?
However, the 22-year-old Slovenian forward has turned heads after his impact from the bench for the Red Devils, including Man Utd’s 1-0 win over Everton on Monday.
Michael Carrick brought Sesko on in the second half at the Hill Dickinson Stadium and the Red Devils striker netted a superb winner for Man Utd against Everton.

Benjamin Sesko has found the back of the net eight times and registered one assist in 24 matches across all competitions in his debut season at Old Trafford.
Despite being dropped to the bench under Michael Carrick, Sesko has scored three times under the Manchester United interim head coach’s first six matches in charge.
Sesko netted important strikes in Man Utd’s 3-2 win over Fulham at Old Trafford and 1-1 Premier League draw against West Ham at the London Stadium this month.
Benjamin Sesko’s turnaround has been pretty stunning! Should he start the next game?
Speaking on The Rest Is Football podcast, Gary Lineker praised the qualities that stand out about Sesko in the United and Slovenia striker’s debut season in England.
“Even Sesko, when he came on the last few games, he’s starting to look like a bit of a player here,” he said.
“He’s quick, he gets behind teams, he’s a big lad. Obviously, he’s good in the air.”

Carrick was installed as Red Devils interim boss in January after Man Utd sacked Ruben Amorim from his head coach role at the Premier League club.
Lineker insisted that “situation” around the reign of Ruben Amorim at Man Utd had a knock-on effect for the likes of Sesko and Co at Old Trafford this season.
“So, you know, it’s taken him time to settle, but that’s probably the Amorim situation as well, which is all over the shop,” he added.
“Everyone was struggling for form.”
Sesko left RB Leipzig last summer and the former RB Salzburg striker signed for Man Utd in a deal worth £73.7m.
