Manchester United allowed Marcus Rashford to leave the club on loan to Barcelona and he has been so impressive.

It has been a return to top form for Marcus Rashford this season in Spain, scoring six and assisting seven in his 14 games so far.

This included Rashford scoring an excellent goal against Elche, which was the latest in a line of impressive performances which has made it almost certain Barcelona will look to trigger the buy option.

Rashford has been back to playing with a smile on his face, looking like a completely different player to the one who departed Manchester United.

Gary Lineker has noticed one thing is different about Marcus Rashford

Rashford has renewed his career at Barcelona and Gary Lineker has admitted he has noticed one change in the 28-year-old.

Speaking on ‘The Rest Is Football’ podcast, Lineker reacted to Rashford’s latest performance in a Barcelona kit.

“Yeah, I’m really pleased for him, because obviously he had a tough year or two at Manchester United. And there were difficulties there, and he lost his form a little bit and probably lost his confidence. And, you know, football is full of ups and downs.

“But I think with Marcus in particular, he seems to be either, you know, when he’s on fire, he’s fantastic, but he can dip and form”, Lineker admitted.

“And hopefully, that won’t happen at Barcelona. He’s more mature now.”

Rashford has certainly taken on a bit of a leadership role at Barcelona, with such a young team around him, he is one of the more experienced heads in the team.

Manchester United willing to sanction early sale of Marcus Rashford

Rashford’s form has been really impressive, proving a lot of people wrong and showing he still has a lot to give.

One target will be Rashford’s desire to play in the World Cup and this will be on his priority list, which at Barcelona he looks like a shoo-in.

However, while a summer move is likely, United are willing to sell mid-season, a move which shows the desire to move on, and also for funds to spend in January.

This move would be a win-win, as there is no going back and all parties would be best served moving on, with Rashford clearly putting United days behind him.
