Manchester United were heavily criticised after the weekend’s big defeat, and rightfully so – even if some went a bit too far.
The team bounced back with an important victory over Real Betis, winning 4-1 at Old Trafford with four different goalscorers.
It is only appropriate to provide a look at the positive reaction to Manchester United’s victory.
The win puts United on the verge of reaching the Europa League quarter-finals, with the second leg to tie up next week.

Evra leads reaction to United win
Match of the Day host Gary Lineker praised Manchester United’s performance.
He wrote it was a ‘cracking response to the spanking at Anfield’, with United putting the weekend’s freak result behind them.
Former Manchester United star Patrice Evra had his say, writing that he was ‘so proud’ of the Manchester United players, and picked out Bruno Fernandes for his ‘strong character’.
Fernandes received more criticism than any other United player at the weekend, and responded with a goal and assist in the 4-1 win.
This was how Manchester United fans hoped the team would respond. Erik ten Hag picked the same XI he did at Anfield, a statement that he would give them a chance to redeem themselves.
They did exactly that. A freak 45 minutes at Anfield won’t define Manchester United’s season. Erik ten Hag and the players won’t let that happen, there is no chance.
