There is never ever any excuse for racist abuse. It cannot be said strongly enough.
And yet it keeps on having to be repeated, and will be, until it is eradicated.
Manchester United midfielder Fred was sadly victim to racist abuse on social media after the defeat to Leicester.

It was a sadly predictable turn of events.
Now Fred has had his say.
Fred had a bad game against Leicester, one of his worst of the season.
That’s still no excuse. Anybody feeling frustration with him, should know when to draw the line.
It’s sad it doesn’t work like this, even in 2021. Fred is right to call it out.
We stand right there with him.
This leaves an extra bad taste in the mouth after United’s loss.
It’s a real shame not to have fans going to matches at the moment, for players to really feel the support.
The mindless idiots on social media who racially abuse players disgrace the club and themselves.
