Everton manager Frank Lampard has said that Donny van de Beek “has been a dream to work with” since he arrived at the club.
Although he’s only a couple of weeks into his loan deal, the Dutchman’s fortunes look to have completely transformed since making the temporary move to Merseyside.
The 24-year-old has received praise from his manager, teammates and pundits for his impressive performance on his first start for the Toffees against Leeds.
United legend Rio Ferdinand has also revealed that the former Ajax man has already lifted the levels in training at Finch Farm.

Seemingly delighted in working with van de Beek, Lampard continues to rave about the impression the Dutch international has already made.
Speaking via the club’s website, Lampard said: “I was really happy with Donny, playing in a midfield two against Leeds is tough because of their movement and rotation of bodies.
“Him and Allan were fantastic.
“Donny on the ball gives us a sense of calm and intelligence and rhythm – and he is going to get better and better.
“He has been a dream to work with in the short time he’s been here.”

After a torrid 18 months at Manchester United, van de Beek is seemingly being given the opportunities to enjoy his football once again.
Everton’s new number 30 will be hoping to make it back-to-back Premier League starts under Lampard when Everton travel to Southampton on Saturday.
Van de Beek has never started three Premier League games in a row, but if he builds on his eye-catching start at Goodison Park, he could earn a recall into Louis van Gaal’s Netherlands squad for the friendlies in March.
Aside from his struggles and lack of chances at Old Trafford, it’s nice to see Donny van de Beek back out on the pitch and enjoying his football.
