Manchester United were active on transfer deadline day. Here is a look at the club’s confirmed deals.
Marcel Sabitzer to Manchester United
Austria midfielder Marcel Sabitzer has completed a loan move to Manchester United, leaving Bayern Munich.
He adds depth to the club’s midfield with Christian Eriksen out for three months, and Donny van de Beek injured for the rest of the season.
Sabitzer is an Austria international with vast experience, and this will help United in the second half of the season.

Charlie McNeill to Newport County
Manchester United academy striker Charlie McNeill signed with League Two side Newport County on loan for the rest of the season.
This is the first loan move of McNeill’s career, and a great chance for him to play competitive football. He has one appearance for Manchester United, in the Europa League as a substitute.
McNeill has 48 goals for United’s academy sides and played a key role in the team’s FA Youth Cup victory in 2022, netting five times in the competition.
Dishon Bernard to Portsmouth
22-year-old defender Dishon Bernard has clinched the third loan move of his career, joining Portsmouth on loan.
He previously played on loan at Salford City in League Two and Hull City in the Championship, and now gets a crack at League One.
Injury prevented Bernard from departing on loan back in the summer. He made his comeback for the first team in a friendly against Cadiz, and now his season can really begin.
Axel Tuanzebe to Stoke City
A deal announced just before 1am, Axel Tuanzebe has sealed a move to Stoke City on loan for the rest of the season.
Tuanzebe signed with Napoli last January. Serious injury problems have seen his career spiral from the Serie A side, to Championship club Stoke.
Nonetheless this is a good opportunity for Tuanzebe to get his career back on track. He has not played a competitive game in around 11 months.
