Ander Herrera was always a player who wore his heart on his sleeve.
Now he has become the first current major player to break ranks and speak up on the controversial Super League plans rocking football.
Manchester United announced an intent to join the Super League, with Joel Glazer at the heart of proposals.

Herrera, who quit United for PSG in 2019, has now spoken up against the plans.
Huge respect
Herrera’s PSG are not part of the current Super League proposals.
Regardless, the Spaniard deserves huge respect for speaking out, and there are likely dozens of players who want to do the same.
United’s players are currently likely being silenced under strict instructions from the club.
They are unlikely to feel any different to Herrera, whose message is passionate and straight to the point.
These plans are ripping out football as we know it, and threatening to change it into something completely different.
