Ralf Rangnick has been readmitted to the hospital after issues resulting from his recent surgery.
Although Ralf Rangnick will not be remembered at Manchester United for results, the former interim coach delivered some home truths about the running of the football club under Glazer ownership.
United finished sixth in the Premier League during Rangnick’s spell in charge, with their 58-point tally being their worst in the league until last season.
Old Trafford chiefs had planned for Rangnick to remain at the club as a consultant, but that plan was scrapped after he was appointed Austria coach.
That said, some of Rangnick’s recommendations for United are still being spoken about.
As interim coach, Rangnick took charge of United for 29 games, managing 11 wins and eight defeats in that time.

Ralf Rangnick hospitalised after surgery
Rangnick came into a United dressing room that had multiple problems.
Some – but not all – have since been addressed, with Ruben Amorim, the current head coach, trying to turn things around at Old Trafford.
Now, German outlet BILD claims Rangnick has had to be readmitted to hospital after sustaining an infection from his initial visit.
Rangnick recently picked up an injury to his right ankle before being admitted to the trauma clinic in Bavaria for surgery.
However, Rangnick’s readmission is due to a “serious” issue, requiring treatment for the infection. It has been described as a “hospital-acquired germ”.
Rangnick was spotted using a bike to get around a football pitch last month, whilst suffering with his ankle issues, as seen in the video below.
While Rangnick could miss Austria’s upcoming squad announcement for their World Cup qualifiers against San Marino and Romania, he is expected to return to the sidelines for those matches.
Rangnick’s assistant manager Lars Kornetka will name the next Austria squad as a result.
Rangnick’s Austria are unbeaten in World Cup qualifiers
Rangnick will be aiming to secure qualification for the World Cup when he recovers from his infection.
As things stand, Austria are second in Group H, having played one game less than leaders Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Austria have maximum points after four games (12), and they’re looking to maintain that to seal a place in the World Cup next year.
Former Man Utd midfielder Marcel Sabitzer is a key player for Rangnick in the Austria national team.
