Facundo Pellistri has responded brilliantly to transfer speculation linking him with a move away from Manchester United.
The MEN reported on Monday that Manchester United are preparing to allow Pellistri to leave on loan in the summer.
It was an unhelpful report considering Pellistri is gradually making in-roads towards the first team, earning praise after a superb cameo against Real Betis last week.
He has six first team appearances for Manchester United so far, all of them coming in 2023, each as a substitute.

Facundo Pellistri responds
Facundo Pellistri has responded to these reports with a strong statement. His full focus is on making it work at Manchester United.
He posted a defiant message on Instagram last night, a clear response to the rumours.
The winger posted: “this is far from over. keep going 👊🏼 so proud of being here @manchesterunited ❤️”
Pellistri’s attitude in recent weeks has been superb. He made an impact against Real Betis just one minute after coming off the bench, and BT Sport pundit Owen Hargreaves was raving about him.
The Uruguay international has a chance to start one of the two upcoming games, quite possibly the away leg against Real Betis this week.
He has a unique quality in comparison to the other wingers in United’s squad, with his desire to go outside and whip a cross in with his right foot.
Still only 21, Pellistri is a big talent, and whether a loan is in his future or not, Pellistri only cares about ‘right now’ and that’s a great attitude to have.
With big performances for United between now and the end of the season, Pellistri can determine what his future may hold, and show Erik ten Hag he deserves to stay with his first team squad in 2023/24.
At the very least he is willing to fight for it. And with Alejandro Garnacho suffering an injury, Pellistri could have a few more opportunities coming his way.
