A former Manchester United winger has ruthlessly slammed Erik ten Hag’s men after the Red Devils’ devastating 3-0 defeat to Bournemouth at Old Trafford on Saturday.
Goals from Dominic Solanke, Philip Billing and Marcos Senesi sealed all three points for Andoni Iraola’s men, with Ten Hag suffering another major setback at United.
Ten Hag has been under mounting pressure over United’s poor run of form and fans felt that a corner had been turned after the 2-1 win against Chelsea in the midweek.
The United manager faces a tough week coming up, with the Red Devils’ Champions League fate hanging in the balance in their clash against Bayern Munich on Tuesday.
And then Ten Hag’s men will travel to Anfield on 17th December for their showdown with fierce rivals Liverpool, who are currently top of the Premier League table.
United are currently sixth in the league table and are three points behind defending champions Manchester City, who will face Luton Town today at 2pm UK time.

Gordon Hill’s reaction to United’s performance
Former United winger Gordon Hill, who played for the club in the 1970s, pulled no punches towards the Red Devils over their poor display against Bournemouth.
Hill took to social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, and labelled United’s performance at Old Trafford as “absolutely disgraceful.”
The 69-year-old ex-England player, who previously offered his services to Ten Hag, also took aim at the United boss and questioned his tactics this season.
“You are not good enough full stop,” Hill wrote.
“Your Ajax Ideas [sic] are not up to United standards. I thought after Chelsea yes here we go, but after watching this display, the players are not good enough, Your [sic] tactics, sorry what tactics.”
In a follow-up tweet, he continued: “After what I watched during the week, and what was on display today, [two] different teams.
“I at least thought playing at home would be enough to get a result, there is no excuse for effort.”
Ten Hag is not happy with Bournemouth result
Speaking after the match, United captain Bruno Fernandes admitted his frustration with the result and how his side were unable to bounce back against Bournemouth.
Fernandes will now be missing for the Liverpool match after picking up a suspension in the Bournemouth defeat, only adding to Ten Hag’s woes at United this season.
Ten Hag insisted that he was both “annoyed” and “disappointed” with United’s performance, saying his first-team squad are lacking serious consistency this season.
“As a squad, we are not good enough to be consistent,” he said (via BBC Sport).
“I’m annoyed, disappointed, definitely. I expected something different. The way we started was no good. It was poor.”
