Manchester United fans think they’ve got a new Fred in Ederson, but the original one has just come out swinging over his own future.
Since leaving the club in 2023, Fred has been a constant fixture in a Fenerbahce that seems to be in perpetual rebuild mode.
The Brazilian became a cult hero at Old Trafford by the time he left due to his selfless style of play, cheery personality, and professionalism.
Now 33, he is in the final stretch of his career, but has no patience for transfer reports.
Casemiro is our number one ranked Brazilian to play for Man Utd – Do you agree?

Fred hits out at transfer reports
The winds of change are blowing at Fenerbahce after their presidential election.
Man Utd will be keeping a close eye on developments there as Mason Greenwood is a key target for the Turkish club.
Whenever there is a regime change, some players are bound to fall out of favour, and recent reports suggested that Fred fancies a return to Brazilian football.
The report stated that Fred is bound to return to Brazil, even if the move doesn’t happen this summer.
A timeline of January 2027 or next summer was given, an assertion Fred didn’t take kindly to, responding directly under the tweet.
Fred wrote [on X]: “Hey, with all due respect, what’s the source you guys get your info from? Are you really knowing more than me?”
He added a laughing and surprise emoji for added effect, just to put into perspective the ridiculousness he felt in the report.
For added context, Fred’s contract at Fenerbahce expires in 2027, with the club holding the option to extend it by another year.
The Brazilian has been somewhat of a reliable squad player for the team, making 30 league appearances last season but playing only 48% of all available minutes.
He might well return to his country to finish his career, but he has no interest in someone else announcing that decision for him. At least not yet.
