Former Manchester United striker Dwight Yorke has heaped praise on one player, in particular, for showing great courage this season.
Manchester United won 1-0 against Luton Town and Harry Maguire was, once again, one of the best players on the Old Trafford pitch.
Maguire, who looked to be on his way out of Old Trafford under Erik ten Hag, has won his place back in the side and is now surely the undisputed first choice.
With the current injury problems at centre-back, Maguire and Victor Lindelof look to be the first-choice pairing and ex-United man Dwight Yorke was full of praise for the Englishman.

Yorke on Maguire
Speaking to the Daily Mail, the former striker, who was involved in United’s incredible treble-winning side, gave his verdict on the former Leicester City defender.
“Listen, I’m happy for the kid. If I was in Ten Hag’s position I would have dealt with it differently. In hindsight, it’s easy for me to sit on the outside and say certain things but yeah, it’s good for him to come back and do what he’s done. It takes a lot of courage,” Yorke said.
“I think when people are calling for your head and you’re getting out of the club it’s hard to turn that around. Even though he seems to have had the last couple of weeks go for him, I still think we are in for a very difficult time whether Harry Maguire is there or not.”
Maguire’s crucial season
Erik ten Hag, according to a report from CaughtOffside, is keen on signing Jean-Clair Todibo with Raphael Varane potentially on his way out of the club.
Well, Maguire may well be fighting for his future once again if the OGC Nice defender, who is in top form, is targeted by Ten Hag next summer.
The starting pair, if Todibo does join the club, would surely be the Frenchman alongside Lisandro Martinez so where does Maguire fit in?
Perhaps it’s time for Martinez to be questioned about his untouchable first-team spot in the side, Maguire deserves to be a starting defender.
