Ethan Laird pictured with MOTM award after another impressive loan performance for QPR
Manchester United defender Ethan Laird is continuing to earn plaudits while on loan at Queen’s Park Rangers.
The right-back helped QPR to a clean sheet in a 0-0 draw with Stoke City at the weekend and as voted by sponsors as man of the match.
Laird had won 12 duels in the match, more than any player on the pitch, also creating two goalscoring chances.
While this was not as high as the four chances he created in the previous match against Millwall days earlier, this was another impressive display – and a second successive clean sheet.

Laird also attempted three shots at goal and made 72 touches in 90 minutes, winning three tackles.
He was pictured after the game in QPR’s corporate suites being presented with the team’s man of the match award.
This loan move is developing into a positive one for Laird, who is playing for his third different Championship team after spells with Swansea City and Bournemouth.
He has made seven starts, completing 630 minutes of football, with one goal and assist already, and his confidence will be sky high after recent back to back clean sheets.
The young defender impressed for Manchester United in pre-season, and the door remains open for Laird to have a future at Old Trafford. If he keeps on performing strongly on loan, then he certainly has a chance.
