Former Manchester City defender Nedum Onuoha has given his verdict on whether there is a route back into the side for Jadon Sancho at Manchester United.
Jadon Sancho has been frozen out of the Manchester United team following a public fall-out with Erik ten Hag and the 23-year-old looks to be on his way out of Old Trafford.
The former Borussia Dortmund winger was electric during his time in Germany, and it always seemed a matter of time before he moved to the Premier League.
A story emerged recently from the Daily Star that suggested Sir Jim Ratcliffe would demand that Sancho and Ten Hag make up behind the scenes, which has caused debate amongst the fanbase.
Two years on from his £73 million move to Old Trafford, that move has not worked out as expected for the winger and a move back to Germany or to Italian giants Juventus is on the cards for the Englishman.
Onuoha on Sancho
Speaking on ESPN, ex-Manchester City defender Nedum Onuoha was asked whether there is any way back for the Englishman at Old Trafford amid reports of Ratcliffe demanding him being reintegrated into the ide.
“To be honest if Ratcliffe does takeover, I don’t like the idea of him being able to decide what the manager does with players,” former Manchester City defender Nedum Onuoha said.
“I’d imagine Sancho is desperate to play for United but it will be interesting to see how this argument resolves. Does Ten Hag and Sancho shake hands and make up it seems unlikely. It’s not that simple and there’s no guarantee he will start for United.
“Does this undermine Ten Hag’s original statement if he is brought back? I think bringing back Sancho, because of Ratcliffe’s alleged involvement, would undermine the manager’s authority within the group massively.”
Terzic on Sancho
Speaking back in the summer, Edin Terzic was full of praise for the Englishman but he just hasn’t kicked on in England.
“Jadon has been doing magic with us long enough to know his qualities. Jadon is a fantastic boy,” Terzic told Kicker. “He was happy to see us. We were happy to see him.”
This may suggest that Dortmund would come back in for him if they were given the chance but his wages may well prove to be a stumbling block.
The future looks bleak at Manchester Unitd for Sancho with a move to Juventus or the Saudi Pro League may well be on the cards once the January transfer window comes around.
