Erik ten Hag has been told that one of his Manchester United players has taken a step in the right direction after an improvement in consistency this season.
That is according to Arsenal legend David Seaman, who was initially critical of the “weird” decisions that a Manchester United star would make at the club.
Erik ten Hag’s men played out a 0-0 draw against Aston Villa on Sunday at Villa Park in their final Premier League match before the October international break.
United have struggled to impress this season, with the Red Devils only managing two Premier League wins in their opening seven league matches.
Ten Hag’s side are currently 14th in the Premier League table after securing only eight points from a possible 21 on offer so far in the 2024-25 campaign.
United won’t return to action until 19th October when they welcome Brentford to Old Trafford for their next Premier League clash.

Seaman on Man Utd star’s redemption
Speaking on Seaman Says, David Seaman admitted that he wasn’t impressed with what Andre Onana was initially doing between the sticks when he signed in 2023.
Andre Onana had played under Erik ten Hag at Ajax and the Manchester United No 1 was reunited with the Dutchman after his stunning move from Inter Milan.
The 28-year-old Cameroonian shot-stopper succeeded David de Gea as United No 1 and had a tough start to life in England during his debut season at Old Trafford.
Onana was met with criticism for his howlers in the Champions League last season, but he turned the tide in his favour as the Premier League campaign progressed.
Seaman admitted that the Cameroon international has managed to turn things around at United after initially criticising the “weird saves” he tried to make.
“When he first came, he was making some like weird saves, like weird saves,” he said.
“He was like saving with his part of his arm and trying to push it out when he could have easily got two hands there, making camera saves, you know, trying to make saves look harder than what they should have been.
“To be fair to him, he has got better and a bit more consistent as well.”
Onana’s ‘risks’ paying off so far
Andre Onana is currently leading the race for the Premier League Golden Glove award after picking up four clean sheets in United’s first seven league matches.
The former Inter Milan and Ajax star had been more confident ahead of the new season and urged United fans to trust him as he took more “risks” at the club.
“Yes, that’s me, and I think it’s what you’re going to see this season because I will take a lot of risks,” he said in August, as per The Guardian.
“I can tell you in advance already. Be prepared because it’s going to be this season, trust me. I will enjoy it even more when this season starts.”
