Manchester United star Christian Eriksen has opened up about his future at Old Trafford after securing regular playing time under Erik ten Hag this season.
Christian Eriksen first arrived at Old Trafford in 2022 after he left Brentford and completed a sensational free transfer to Manchester United.
The 32-year-old Danish midfielder impressed in his debut season under Erik ten Hag, with Eriksen forging an impressive partnership with Casemiro at the time.
However, Eriksen saw his playing time reduced in the previous campaign due to injuries and the emergence of Kobbie Mainoo at Old Trafford.
The former Ajax and Tottenham ace’s future was cast in uncertainty in the summer after falling down the pecking order under United manager Ten Hag.

Eriksen on summer transfer speculation
Christian Eriksen has fought for his place at Manchester United and the Denmark international has secured more first-team minutes in the early weeks of the season.
The United star has made eight appearances across all competitions and has scored three times and registered three assists for the Red Devils this season.
Eriksen is out of contract with United in 2025 and the Red Devils midfielder was linked with former side Ajax during the summer window a few months ago.
Speaking to the Danish outlet Bold, Eriksen made his intention clear that he didn’t want to leave in the summer and United had not expressed their desire to sell him.
“I had no thoughts about moving on, and I didn’t hear from the club that they wanted to sell me or that I had to leave,” he said.
“I really just felt that the family and I were doing really well. If something really exciting came along, or something where I really felt: ‘I want to try this,’ then fair enough, but it wasn’t something that I had to leave.”
Eriksen on Man Utd future and contract
Eriksen will be free to speak with clubs outside of England in January 2025 and could sign a pre-contract agreement ahead of a free transfer next summer.
The United midfielder, who is away on international duty with Denmark, hinted that talks over a new deal could start again in 2025 ahead of his contract expiring.
“No, we are not there at the moment [talks about staying put],” Eriksen said.
He added: “I have one year left, and then we can have another conversation next year when you stand in a different place.”
