Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is preparing for an emotional reunion against the club he supports.
Manchester United’s Europa League draw has thrown out a number of exciting ties. Among the eight teams United will face are Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce.
Shola Shoretire will return to face United with PAOK, while there is also the all-British tie against Rangers to look forward to.
The one game which has caught Erik ten Hag’s eye, is in fact the first one, Manchester United vs FC Twente.

Erik ten Hag supports FC Twente
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has been back in the Netherlands over the international break.
Quoted via Voetbal International, Ten Hag spoke about his affection for FC Twente, revealed he is and will continue to be a supporter.
Ten Hag said: “FC Twente is my club. I grew up in the area, played for the club and worked for it in various positions for a total of 23 years.
“I was and am a supporter of FC Twente, that will never go away.”
As a player, Ten Hag had three separate spells with Twente, playing a total of 257 games for the club between 1989 and 2002.
When it comes to the Europa League fixture at Old Trafford later this month, Erik ten Hag has full focus.
He added: “You have to turn off those kinds of sentiments. Because you have to win. Every game counts now in the new format.
“It is a special match for me, but we just have to win.”
Erik ten Hag record vs FC Twente
Erik ten Hag has faced FC Twente several times before, as manager of Utrecht and Ajax.
Ten Hag’s teams have played 12 games against Twente, winning seven, drawing two, and losing three.
His last loss was in 2020, a 2-1 defeat for Ajax in which Andre Onana played. While his biggest win against them was his most recent match in 2022, a 5-0 victory.
Lisandro Martinez was one of the starters, along with Antony, who provided an assist in the win.
