Erik ten Hag has praised Marcus Rashford‘s performance in last night’s win over Nottingham Forest.

Speaking to the club website, Ten Hag says he believes Rashford is ‘unstoppable’ if he carries on like this.

Rashford scored Manchester United’s first goal and provided the assist for the second in the 3-0 victory.

The assist was for Anthony Martial, with their link-up looking as strong as ever.

Ten Hag raves about Marcus Rashford

Ten Hag spoke glowingly about Rashford after the game in his post-match assessment.

The Manchester United manager said: “There is still room for improvement from Marcus but this one [performance] was at a good level and he’s unstoppable if he keeps in this spirit, this focus, I am sure the process will keep going and he’ll score more goals and get more assists.”

Rashford now has 10 goals for the season plus four assists. He also scored three goals for England at the World Cup.

The forward is thriving player under Ten Hag, clearly enjoying his football, and United just need to avoid running him into the ground.

Signing an extra forward is essential as it allows Rashford to be rested when needed. Right now we want him to play every single game.

While Erik ten Hag says he is ‘unstoppable’, injury is a real risk, and United have to reduce the risk by signing extra firepower in the January transfer window.
