Erik ten Hag has responded when asked how important it is to have Rasmus Hojlund back in the Manchester United fold after his injury.
Rasmus Hojlund suffered a muscular problem during the 1-0 win over Luton Town at Old Trafford which meant the Danish forward missed the rest of the clash against the Hatters as well as the 3-0 victory over Everton.
The Red Devils were superb in the second half of the game at Goodison Park and recorded their biggest away win in the Premier League since United defeated Tottenham 3-0 back in October of 2021.
Tonight’s fixture against Galatasaray is a big one for the Red Devils as a win, at all costs, is needed.

Ten Hag on Hojlund
Speaking to the United website ahead of the crucial clash in Turkey, Erik ten Hag was full of praise for Hojlund but also for his replacement at Goodison Park, Anthony Martial.
“He did magnificent,” Ten Hag said on the Danish forward. “As a young player, you’re playing your first season in the Champions League, you already net five times and he’s so eager to score even more.
“But also Anthony Martial scored at Everton and got a penalty. So he did very well. So it’s good we have options there and we are pleased to go with those options into the game.”
Ten Hag has a big decision to make in Turkey as he has to choose who will lead the line in attack for the Red Devils.
Ten Hag’s choice
As mentioned, the choice is certainly a difficult one as there are pros and cons to both of them but Martial did show something that he hasn’t all season with his composure in front of goal and his back-to-goal play.
For Hojlund, the Danish striker has five goals in the Champions League and will be looking to continue that rich vein of form so it does seem likely that the former Atalanta striker will be the man to lead the attack.
Having Martial on the bench could be vital for the Red Devils if they’re looking to hold onto the victory in the final 20 minutes of the encounter in Turkey.
