Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana is expected to return to the UK shortly.
Andre Onana‘s involvement for Cameroon at the African Cup of Nations is over after their elimination to Nigeria.
It was a merciful exit from Onana and Manchester United’s perspective, with the goalkeeper dropped to the bench for his country.
Onana arrived late at the tournament, played one game, and was then dropped. Now he can draw a line under it all and re-focus on his club.

Andre Onana to return for United
Andre Onana is now set to return for Manchester United and could feature in this week’s game away to Wolves.
Erik ten Hag confirmed this, speaking post-game, commenting: “Andre Onana will be back for Thursday.”
Altay Bayindir deputised for Onana against Newport County and was praised by Ten Hag for his performance, who described it as a ‘composed debut’.
Ten Hag excited for what comes next
Manchester United’s manager is looking forward to Andre Onana’s return because he says he can finally play his first choice team together.
He explained: “Maybe, for the first time as long as I was manager, I can pick a team from the squad that is probably the strongest here.”
Injuries at the start of the season meant Rasmus Hojlund could not play in Manchester United’s opening games.
When Hojlund did play, Luke Shaw was out injured, and then Lisandro Martinez. All three started against Newport, with Andre Onana unavailable.
Onana will be back this week, with Casemiro also returned too. What lies ahead for Marcus Rashford is a little more unclear.
