Erik ten Hag agrees with Man Utd player ‘we are not happy’ with his form

Erik ten Hag has admitted to Marcus Rashford’s struggles this season while speaking in his pre-Luton Town press conference.

Marcus Rashford has had a really tough start to the season for Manchester United. Just one goal in 15 games sees him in the midst of a really poor run.

This poor form has even led to Erik ten Hag deploying Rashford on the right with Alejandro Garnacho favoured on the left recently.

Rashford’s form is a cause for concern however it is important to note the entire team has been struggling of late. But Rashford boasts one of the worst goal conversion rates in the league and the worst at the club with just six per cent of his shots leading to a goal.

His season got even worse on Wednesday with a red card against Copenhagen.

Erik ten Hag on Rashford

Speaking in his pre-Luton press conference which was shown on Sky Sports, Erik ten Hag admitted that nobody is happy with Rashford’s current performances.

“Marcus is not happy. We are not happy. He has high expectations from himself”.

Continuing, Ten Hag gave backing to Rashford, suggesting he will find form eventually, “At the moment he is not in his best form but I know he will be back”.

What happens with Rashford now?

Rashford now, realistically needs to knuckle down and work hard in order to force himself back into form.

A player who was racking up 30 goals last season shouldn’t be in the position he finds himself now, the only answer is to work harder.

Garnacho deserves to be on the left at the moment and it is up to Rashford to prove Ten Hag otherwise.

We are hoping he can come back into the form we saw last season, however as of now we don’t know if he will find that anytime soon.
