Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana produced a strong performance under the Anfield spotlight to help the team claim a draw.
Andre Onana‘s two worst performances this season have come in big away games against Bayern Munich and Galatasaray.
So you might have understandably held concern over how the Manchester United goalkeeper would cope amid the pressure and baying crowd at Liverpool on Sunday.
Onana delivered a strong display, coping admirably in keeping a clean sheet in Manchester United’s 0-0 draw at Anfield.

Andre Onana not getting carried away
Speaking before the game, Andre Onana said that he had not become a bad goalkeeper overnight, and had faith in his ability.
Following the 0-0 draw, Onana wrote on Instagram: “Never too high never too low. Only positive thinking.
Thx you to the away fans today.”
He received a response from legendary Manchester United goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar, his former mentor at Ajax.

Onana improved as game went on
Andre Onana’s message is the perfect approach. He won’t get too carried away by praise he receives, just as he won’t let the criticism get him down.
It is worth pointing out that Onana’s performance was one to be very encouraged by, where he looked in tune with the rest of his defence.
In the first couple of minutes it didn’t look that way, with Onana getting lost as a free-kick was floated into the box. His defenders bailed him out.
There were some nervous moments early on as United insisted on playing out from the back, but Onana has the footwork to do so effectively, and made Liverpool’s attackers look silly on several occasions.
Phil Bardsley told MUTV: “They put a lot of pressure on him passing out from the back he dealt with it well.”
He made six saves during the game, and was particularly excellent in the second half. Manchester United fans can feel a little positive about Onana’s display.
