Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana has opened up about his poor form for the Red Devils.
Andre Onana has had a rather poor start to his Manchester United career with mistakes in the Champions League, in particular, costing the Red Devils a place in the knockout stages.
In the Premier League, however, the Cameroon international has begun to show his qualities as he looks more and more confident and secure in goal in England’s top division.
The 27-year-old joined the club from Inter Milan in the summer for around £43 million with Erik ten Hag identifying Onana as the man he wanted between the sticks as a replacement for David De Gea.

Onana on poor form
The Cameroon international has always been a confident player and the goalkeeper was no different when he spoke to Sky Sports about his season so far.
“If I have to speak about my season so far for Manchester United, I am not happy because I know I can do much much better, I’ve done it and I know I will do it better than what is happening now,” a defiant Onana said. “We are not facing a good moment. I hope things will change as soon as possible.
“But listen, you want to tell me in six months the best goalkeeper in the Champions League last season can become the worst in the world? Nah.
“Everything is temporary. I know it’ll be alright. If not today, it will be tomorrow, if not tomorrow, the day after tomorrow.”
Onana on Ten Hag
As well as this, the goalkeeper was asked about Ten Hag as the Dutchman was his manager at Ajax and decided that Onana was the man to replace the outgoing De Gea.
Ten Hag is under pressure after such a poor start to the season and question marks over his future could intensify in the next few weeks.
“We had a successful period with Ajax,” Onana added of Ten Hag. “We reached the semi-finals of the Champions League and played brilliant football from the back.
“He’s a good manager. I like the way he works, the way he communicates with the players.”
How long Ten Hag will last depends on a lot of factors, having his number-one goalkeeper in top form will be vital for his future at the Old Trafford club.
