Borussia Dortmund manager Edin Terzic has called for patience for Jadon Sancho as his struggles in Germany continue.
Jadon Sancho left Manchester United in the January transfer window after not playing for four months after a spectacular fallout with Erik ten Hag.
The forward publically called out the manager on social media after he had said Sancho didn’t make the trip to Arsenal in early September because he wasn’t training hard enough.
Sancho was removed from first-team training and at the first opportunity returned to Borussia Dortmund on loan after failing to resolve the issue with Ten Hag.
Things started off brilliantly with two assists in his first two matches back at Signal Iduna Park but he hasn’t contributed much at all since.
Manager Edin Terzic has admitted Sancho is struggling for ‘rhythm’ in the team.

As quoted by Fussballtransfers, Terzic said: “We know that not everyone is at 100 per cent.
“Jadon hasn’t played for a long time and he lacks rhythm.
“It’s often the case that the guys who come back after a long downtime or a long break, they immediately light up at the beginning, when everything is new and fun again.
“And then every now and then there’s a dip.”
Interestingly, Terzic also revealed Sancho sees his best position as a creative midfielder in the No.10 role but he isn’t getting it as two other players are doing better than him there.
He added: “[Sancho] said very confidently that his favourite number is ten. We know that it can be used very flexibly. But Julian Brandt and Marco Reus did really well on the ten.”
Where will Jadon Sancho’s future lie?
Given his current level of performance back at the club where he made his name, it’s hard to see anyone wanting to sign Sancho permanently in the summer. Even Dortmund themselves.
That poses a big problem for the 23-year-old as it doesn’t appear that he will play for Ten Hag again.
The only reprieve could be is if Ten Hag is no longer the man in charge when Sancho returns to Manchester.
Following the defeat to Manchester City on Sunday, United have now lost 11 Premier League games alone this season and a Champions League finish looks almost impossible.
That would be a massive failing on Ten Hag’s part, with his team going backwards in both results and performances this season.
With Sir Jim Ratcliffe now in control of football operations he may look to freshen things up with a new manager ahead of next season and plenty of names have already been linked.
Ten Hag’s departure might be the only thing to resurrect Sancho’s failing career.
