Diogo Dalot has insisted that his standout memory at Old Trafford came during his Manchester United playing spell under former Red Devils boss Erik ten Hag.
The 27-year-old Portuguese right-back has been a longstanding player in the Manchester United first-team squad since his arrival at Old Trafford in 2018.
Diogo Dalot arrived at the Premier League club during Jose Mourinho’s reign after the Red Devils signed him from Portuguese side Porto for a fee of around £19m.
Since Jose Mourinho’s 2018 sacking, Dalot has played under several permanent United managers, including Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Erik ten Hag and Ruben Amorim.

Diogo Dalot singles out his major silverware success under Erik ten Hag at Man Utd
Diogo Dalot’s only major trophies at Old Trafford have come under former Manchester United and Ajax manager Erik ten Hag during his spell so far.
The Portugal international lifted the Carabao Cup trophy under Ten Hag in 2023 after Man Utd defeated Newcastle 2-0 in the final at Wembley.
Dalot collected his next piece of silverware in the following season, with Ten Hag leading United to the FA Cup trophy in 2024 after a huge win over Manchester City.
Speaking to DHL Express, the former Porto defender insisted that United’s Carabao Cup win over Newcastle stood out for him as an important memory in his career.
“I’ve had quite a journey since signing for Manchester United in 2018, but my favourite memory will always be the first time I won a trophy for the club,” he said, as per The Daily Mail.

Diogo Dalot wants to target more trophies with Man Utd amid the post-Ruben Amorim era of the club
Dalot fell short of more silverware at Old Trafford last season after Man Utd lost 1-0 to Tottenham in the 2025 Europa League final under Ruben Amorim’s reign.
Despite the sacking of Amorim as Man Utd manager in January, Dalot remains hopeful of the future and is keen to challenge for more silverware with the club.
“That feeling is exactly why you sign for United: to win trophies and compete in the best competitions,” he added.
“It was the first time I really felt, ‘Okay, this is how it feels to win for this club,’ and it acted like an unlock that made me want to win even more.’”
Portugal star Dalot has netted 10 times and registered 20 assists in 241 matches for the Red Devils since the start of his playing spell at Old Trafford.
