Manchester United trio Diogo Dalot, Marcus Rashford and Jesse Lingard have been pictured training together in Dubai.

Interim boss Ralf Rangnick confirmed last week that the majority of the squad will be given time off this week, during the international break.

Although an overseas training camp was ruled out due to coronavirus regulations, the Portuguese international and England duo have travelled to the United Arab Emirates to train at the Nad Al Sheba Sports Complex.

Dalot played the full 90 minutes of Saturday’s 1-0 win against West Ham which saw Marcus Rashford come off the bench to score a last-gasp winner.

Lingard was once again an unused substitute and journalist Fabrizio Romano expects Newcastle to “push again” for United’s number 14 after having a previous loan bid rejected.

Speaking on United’s plans during the international break, Rangnick said: “We will give the players a couple of days of rest, because it doesn’t make sense to train for two weeks – to travel to a training camp with the COVID regulations would also have been difficult.

“That’s why we decided to give them a couple of days off and then prepare for a normal week of training for the cup game against Middlesbrough.”

Manchester United host Chris Wilder’s Middlesbrough on Friday, 4 February, for a spot in the FA Cup fifth round.
