France manager Didier Deschamps has added to the praise around Christian Eriksen after his UEFA Nations League display.

Eriksen created eight chances for Denmark in their 2-0 win over France, a warning shot to Deschamps’ side ahead of their meeting at the 2022 World Cup in November.

Deschamps told Bold.dk that he believes Denmark are extremely lucky to have a player like Eriksen at their disposal.

Eriksen has been a relevation for Manchester United since signing on a free transfer this summer.

Didier Deschamps adds to Christian Eriksen praise

Deschamps was in awe of Eriksen’s performance, speaking after France’s defeat to the Danes.

The France boss said: “He is definitely a player who is very technically gifted and above average.

“He is very creative and physically impressive, so it is undoubtedly a huge bonus for the Danish team that they have him.”

Denmark have had Eriksen for years so they are well aware of how fortunate they are to have the midfielder, even though they would certainly never take him for granted after Euro 2020.

Manchester United fans meanwhile are just getting used to Eriksen, and he has been a total breath of fresh air.

Eriksen has helped United to start dominating matches in midfield, after routinely getting outplayed by opponents in previous seasons.

The Dane was lauded as ‘world class’ by teammate Kasper Schmeichel after the win over France, which came fresh off the heels of winning Manchester United’s player of the month award.

He was also praised by France midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni, while former United midfielder and coach Michael Carrick has told the club’s website he is not at all surprised by Eriksen’s early form at Old Trafford since joining.
