Manchester United’s first team stars are preparing for a huge Champions League night against Atletico Madrid.
These knockout games are the kind of matches United’s superstars live for, and young players dream of.
For one young player, the dream became a reality, as 19-year-old goalkeeper was called up to train with the first team squad. He is pictured below on the left of Bruno Fernandes and Tom Heaton.

The young goalkeeper does not have any chance of playing against Atletico, he was there to bolster the group even though other back-ups Lee Grant and Tom Heaton also trained.
Mee has trained with the first team on other occasions in 2022, and to get the chance to do so before this big Champions League night would have been a fantastic experience for him, with the team’s fired up attackers looking to sharpen and hone their aim.
The 19-year-old has been featuring for United’s under-23s this season, and also featured against senior teams in the EFL Trophy.
He also had a brief loan spell at non-league Trafford FC back in early August and September where he got a taste of competitive football.
United have David de Gea, Dean Henderson and Tom Heaton who will all make the squad versus Atletico. Lee Grant is a back-up option too.
Nathan Bishop is out on loan along with Matej Kovar, while youngster Radek Vitek is starring in goal for the under-18s, helping the side reach the Youth Cup final.

Ralf Rangnick has been keen to give opportunities to young players, elevating Anthony Elanga into becoming a first team regular.
Tunisia international Hannibal was also involved in the training session and could make the bench for the Atletico game, having done so for the away leg in Spain, although he is yet to make his debut under Ralf Rangnick.
