Dejan Kulusevski says ‘unbelievable’ Man Utd star is Ruben Amorim’s ‘best player’ by far

Manchester United could reach the Carabao Cup semi-final on Thursday night by beating a Tottenham side who have two wins in eight games.

Ruben Amorim could already be four 90 minutes away from his first trophy as Manchester United’s head coach.

The Carabao Cup is a chance for early success, as experienced by both Jose Mourinho in 2017 and also Erik ten Hag in 2023.

However, the draw still has some big hitters with Liverpool and Arsenal expected to win their games and progress which could be a tricky tie for United.

Amorim will be full of confidence though, after United beat City 2-1 at the weekend. The form of Amad Diallo will also be an area of confidence for the United.

Amad was the standout performer against City and is deserving of the praise he has got. But Spurs will not be happy to see him, apart from one man.

Dejan Kulusevski raves about Manchester United phenom Amad Diallo

Probably the only player on the Tottenham team who will be happy to see Amad is Dejan Kulusevski.

The Swedish winger came through at Atalanta alongside Amad and now speaking to Hayters TV, Kulusevski has been full of praise for United’s standout performer.

“I know Amad, I went to the same school as him, I went to the same classes as him, so I know him really well.

“He will probably play, so it will be fun to play against him. His talent is unbelievable and he’s been by far one of their best players this season. He has so much talent.”

Atalanta produced two of the best wingers in the Premier League

It is quite an incredible story that Amad and Kulusevski came from the same school in Atalanta to be two of the most in-form players in the league.

The pair will undoubtedly be the two players to watch at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Thursday.

Amad in particular is in the form of his life, finally announcing himself to be the world-class talent that fans have long thought him capable of.

Amorim deserves a lot of praise for extracting these consistent performances out of Amad. If they continue, Amad will be United’s right winger for years to come.
