As the talisman of the club, Bruno Fernandes won Player of the Season award from both the players and the supporters.
It’s his second consecutive Fans’ Player of the Season award and the fourth in total, leaving him tied with Cristiano Ronaldo and David de Gea.
It was expected, therefore, that the Spanish goalkeeper would get involved with this one and he has indeed, showing his true colours with a one-word message to Bruno Fernandes after his accolade.

While Ronaldo has mostly stayed away from Man Utd discourse after leaving the club in a scorched-earth manner, the same can’t be said for De Gea.
Despite leaving with a whimper after not having his contract extended, De Gea has kept in touch with the happenings at Old Trafford and regularly comments.
It helps that he’s in a secure environment of his own, having rediscovered top form in Italy with Fiorentina.
His latest comments came on X, where he replied to Man Utd’s official account announcing Fernandes as the winner of the fans’ and players’ Player of the Season award.
In a message that reflected how deeply he respects Fernandes as a professional, De Gea responded with simply a one-word message that said, “Easy”, accompanied by an emoji blowing air from its mouth.

His friendship with the likes of Bruno Fernandes and Juan Mata was famous when he was here so it’s really no surprise to see him back Fernandes after his latest honour.
Even though Fernandes joked about not wanting to win this award, meaning that someone else has stepped up, the chances are that the fans would have awarded him anyway.
