David de Gea has taken to social media with a cryptic message amid rumours he may be returning to Manchester United.
The rumour states that Manchester United are to offer their former goalkeeper a short-term deal to return to Old Trafford.
According to The Sun, this comes apparently after the news that Andre Onana is set to return to international football, meaning he will miss a portion of the season.
De Gea has finally broken his silence on the matter.

De Gea posts cryptic message
Following a flurry of reports surrounding him, David de Gea has taken to X and posted what is a rather cryptic message.
His Tweet just depicts an emoji that looks slightly confused – which is probably what the United legend is feeling right now.
Could de Gea really come back?
It would be seriously strange and potentially one that would be rather insulting to the Spanish shot-stopper.
De Gea was offered reduced terms to stay at United, with his wages being slashed from £375,000 a week to £200,000 a week, which he reluctantly accepted due to his love for the club.
But even that deal was taken off the table, and Erik ten Hag pursued the signing of Onana from Inter Milan instead.
The 32-year-old has been without a club since. He is still living in Manchester, as was shown with a reunion with former teammates after the Sheffield clash – but is a United return on the cards?
We’d say highly unlikely. United brought in Altay Bayindir for a reason and the Turk hasn’t even been given a shot yet.
De Gea’s return is nice to romanticize, but at the moment we really aren’t sure how much is actually there.
