Manchester United take on Copenhagen in the Champions League tonight and star striker Rasmus Hojlund goes up against his former club.

Rasmus Hojlund is the Champions League’s joint top goalscorer with three goals in his opening two games.

Copenhagen know what they are up against, mindful of the striker’s improvement over the past two years.

Manager Jacob Neestrup singled out Rasmus Hojlund as Manchester United’s biggest threat, noting how he is the focal point of the team’s attack.

Rasmus Hojlund warning

Neestrup has also warned his Copenhagen players about the physical challenge Rasmus Hojlund will pose, warning them they must be ready for a battle.

He added that they would be doing video analysis ahead of the game, but noted that many players have first-hand memory of Hojlund

The manager told Bold.dk: “I would like to think that we have it under control – just like we had with Harry Kane – but that is easier said than done.

“The players will be allowed to see some video of him, but I think that there are more of them who can remember that the elbows are out and that he is quite aggressive type.

“I always think it is special to meet former FC Copenhageners.”

Manchester United have lacked a physical threat

Manchester United have lacked a physical threat up front for a while and Rasmus Hojlund provides something different.

The first goal he scored against Galatasaray was a powerful header, the type of goal the Red Devils lacked in their armoury last season.

Neestrup’s comments about Hojlund’s elbows only show that the striker makes life uncomfortable for opponents, and that can only be a positive for Manchester United.
