Christian Eriksen produced a sublime skill against Brighton which was reminiscent of the Danish playmaker of old.
Despite a terrible result, there were a few bright sparks in Manchester United‘s game against the Seagulls. Rasmus Hojlund made his first start, Hannibal Mejbri got his first goal and Andre Onana made two spectacular saves.
Saying this – it was still an afternoon of disparity for United fans, with little to cheer about. The first ten started off so promising, but slowly United lost their tempo and Brighton took charge.
It was in those first ten minutes that United’s silkiest passage of play arose – with Christian Eriksen at the heart of it.

Christian Eriksen with a ludicrous skill
Christian Eriksen really did roll back the years with this insane skill. A nasty drop of the shoulder sent the first Brighton midfielder before he neatly roulette around the second before releasing to Casemiro who started a United counter.
Sadly, this was one of the most exciting parts of the game as a Manchester United fan.
What started off so promisingly, ended in yet another disappointing day for the Red Devils. Still, nice to see Eriksen looking back like his usual self.

He was also baling out for his nation – with a delicious assist
Eriksen must’ve been feeling particularly saucy these past few weeks. He cooked up a fantastic assist while on an international break.
A cheeky little backheel from the 31-year-old, who went on to grab another assist later on in that fixture.
Despite his age, Eriksen is still proving to be a good asset for United this season. He’s evidently still got it. He’s arguably Erik ten Hag’s most inspired signing since his arrival. The fact we got the little wizard for free is mind-boggling.
Let’s hope his performances get better and better as the season progresses.
