Christian Eriksen will not be back from injury in time for Manchester United’s match with Brentford this week.
The Danish midfielder has been working towards his recovery from an ankle injury suffered in the FA Cup in late January against Reading.
This week Manchester United host Christian Eriksen‘s former club Brentford.
However, the game comes too soon for Eriksen to be involved in the clash at Old Trafford.

Eriksen won’t be back v Brentford
Christian Eriksen won’t be making a dream comeback against his former side, according to Manchester United’s official website.
The update reads: “Wednesday’s fixture looks set to come too soon in order for Christian Eriksen to play against his former club.”
It does however note that the midfielder is making ‘good progress’ with his recovery from the injury.
At the end of last month Eriksen shared an update where he showed his walking boot is off, and he is back wearing football boots again.
But as yet, he has not been pictured returning to training with his teammates.
A mid-April return looks most likely for Eriksen, which could boost Manchester United if it coincides with Casemiro’s suspension ending.
The pair have not lined up together in Manchester United’s midfield since January, and having them back will revitalise the team.
Until then, United must find a way to get through. Brentford will certainly not be easy opponents this week.
