BBC Sport pundit Chris Sutton has singled out a “dangerous team” in the upcoming Premier League clash between Brentford and Manchester United on Sunday.
Ruben Amorim’s men will arrive at the Gtech Community Stadium on the weekend hot on the heels of Manchester United’s stunning performance against Athletic Club.
The Red Devils were in Spain for the first leg of their Europa League semi-final tie and United inflicted a 3-0 defeat on Athletic Club at the San Mames Stadium.
United have placed a major focus on their 2024-25 Europa League run after the Red Devils’ form fell off a cliff in their current Premier League campaign.
Ruben Amorim’s side were last in Premier League action last Sunday and United snatched a point against Bournemouth in a 1-1 draw at the Vitality Stadium.
United languish in 14th place in the table in the 2024-25 season and the Red Devils are on course for their worst finish in the Premier League era.
The Red Devils have suffered 15 Premier League defeats so far and United have only managed 10 league wins from 34 matches in their lacklustre season.
United have four matches remaining in the Premier League before the season is out and Amorim’s men are expected to miss out on finishing in the top half of the table.

Chris Sutton makes his feelings clear on Man Utd ahead of the Premier League clash with Brentford
The Europa League is Manchester United’s best hope of returning back to European football for the 2025-26 campaign and a route back to the Champions League.
Ruben Amorim could also lift his first piece of major silverware as United manager if the Red Devils can reach the Europa League final and capture the trophy.
Chris Sutton expects that Amorim will make changes to his side for the Premier League clash with Brentford ahead of the second-leg Europa League semi-final tie.
Speaking in his BBC Sport column, he said: “We know Manchester United are going to make changes here, because seeing out the second leg of their Europa League semi-final with Athletic Bilbao is their priority.
“Ruben Amorim’s side nicked a point at the very end of their game at Bournemouth last weekend, which sparked mass celebrations, but I really don’t see them doing the same against Brentford – they won’t be getting the bunting out this time.”
What did BBC Sport pundit Chris Sutton predict for his Premier League scoreline between Brentford and Man Utd?
United will welcome Athletic Club to Old Trafford on 8th May for the second leg of the Europa League semi-finals, with kick-off planned for 8pm UK time.
The Red Devils are winless in their last five Premier League matches under Amorim ahead of their visit to the Gtech Community Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Sutton has suggested that Brentford are a “dangerous team” and has tipped Bees attackers Bryan Mbeumo and Yoane Wissa to make an impact against United.
“The Bees are such a dangerous team when they come forward and they will keep on attacking United,” he continued.
“Bryan Mbeumo and Yoane Wissa should get plenty of chances and I can see them getting a goal or two between them.”
Sutton has predicted that Thomas Frank’s Brentford side will collect all three Premier League points and has backed the Bees to beat United 2-0 at home on the weekend.
