Casemiro is set to face another suspension after receiving a red card against Southampton.
He was given a yellow card by the referee after a studs-up challenge on Carlos Alcaraz. But then the decision was reviewed by VAR and he was given a red card.
It is the Brazilian’s second red card of the season after a straight red against Crystal Palace in February.
This match was just Casemiro’s second Premier League match since serving that previous suspension.

Casemiro suspension
Casemiro is set to now face a FOUR game suspension as a result of this latest red card.
This is because it is his second red card of the season, so the initial punishment of three games is increased to four.
Red card suspensions are carried through all domestic competitions, so will apply to upcoming FA Cup and Premier League games
Casemiro will be suspended for the following four matches…
- Manchester United v Fulham (H) March 19, FA Cup
- Newcastle v Manchester United (A) April 2, Premier League
- Manchester United v Brentford (H) April 5, Premier League
- Manchester United v Everton (H) April 8, Premier League
Manchester United may decided to appeal the suspension, however, getting VAR to admit a mistake might not be easy.
Casemiro’s suspension will hit United hard after the international break, with three tricky league games in the space of seven days.
He will be available for the Europa League game against Real Betis this week. However, he is one yellow card away from picking up a one-game ban for the quarter-finals.
