Casemiro names the similarity he has noticed between Man Utd and Real Madrid, it’s ‘enormous’

Casemiro spent his playing career at two of Europe’s biggest clubs – Manchester United and Real Madrid.

On Sunday, Casemiro will play his final home match for Manchester United when they face Nottingham Forest in the Premier League.

Casemiro will leave United when his contract expires this summer, putting an end to his four-year spell with the Red Devils.

United are the most successful team in England and Real Madrid are the most successful team in Spain. Casemiro has won trophies at both clubs.

Speaking on Rio Ferdinand Presents, Casemiro said: “‘The similarity between Real Madrid and Manchester United is that neither club ever looks back.

“Winning one game or one trophy is never enough – it’s always about the next match, the next title, the next achievement.

“The pressure at these clubs is enormous and to survive there you need mentality as much as talent.”

Casemiro has added winning mentality to Man Utd squad

Casemiro was signed by United to bring experience and leadership to the first-team squad, and he has done that in abundance.

During his time at Old Trafford, Casemiro became a role model for younger players in the squad.

In particular, Kobbie Mainoo looks up to Casemiro and he has been able to learn from the Brazilian on and off the pitch.

Losing Casemiro will be a big blow for United, but he has passed on his winning mentality to a squad who are aiming to win the Premier League by 2028.
